5 a-side Football
We offer 5 a-side football as a peak time activity in our Moorland Sports Hall or outside on our Sports Pitch. Both venues are available for guests who wish to organise their own games.
Rounders
A predominantly peak time activity, rounders is also available to guests who wish to play amongst themselves either indoors or out.
Continuous Cricket
Continuous or non-stop cricket is a game involving one batsman, who, on hitting the ball, must run to a marker, square to the wicket. The bowler may bowl as soon as the ball is returned, regardless of whether or not the batsman is still running.
Uni-hoc
Uni-hoc is an indoor hockey game based on a mix of hockey and ice hockey. Uni-hoc is ideal for all ages and provides hours of fun.
Basketball
Basketball is a team sport in which two teams of five players try to score points by throwing or "shooting" a ball through the top of a basketball hoop while following a set of rules. We have a purpose built sprung wooden floor in the Manor House Basketball Hall.
Volleyball
Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules.
*All these activities are equally available at the Manor House and the Ashbury and are offered as organised hotel activities during school holidays, whilst the facilities and equipment maybe enjoyed, free of charge, by guests at anytime.
